Co należy wiedzieć o fotowoltaice?

What should you know about photovoltaics?

What should you know about photovoltaics? In the 21st century, photovoltaics is very popular. No wonder, because it has been known for a long time that electricity prices are increasing year by year. As a consequence, we are dealing with higher electricity bills. Therefore, solar panels can be a good investment that should pay off in a relatively short time.

What exactly is photovoltaics? What parameters should we pay attention to? What are the advantages and disadvantages of photovoltaics? The answers to these questions can be found in the article below, so we cordially invite all interested readers to read it.

What is photovoltaics?

Photovoltaics deals with the conversion of radiant energy into electricity. Fortunately, the entire set can be connected to the electrical installation. As a consequence, we are dealing with free electricity in sockets. Electricity can be used on a regular basis or stored – it all depends on the type of installation. It is worth mentioning that photovoltaic is self-service, i.e. we do not have to interfere in its operation. The amount of electricity produced may vary depending on which photovoltaic panels we choose.

Remember that in order to generate as much electricity as possible, the panels should be positioned towards the south. It is worth choosing a place that is shaded as short as possible. Photovoltaics is an investment that should pay off after a few or several years – in this case, a lot depends on how much electricity will cost. It is worth considering the possibility of using co-financing, which allows you to cover part of the costs.

What parameters should you pay attention to?

Before we decide to choose the right photovoltaic installation, we should pay attention to several important parameters that may determine the effectiveness of operation. Peak power, also known as maximum power, is certainly important. This type of parameter tells us what maximum power the panels can produce in the event of optimal weather conditions. Typically, at a temperature of about 25 °C and wind speed oscillating around 1.5 m/s, the intensity of solar radiation is about 1000W/m2. The issue of maximum system voltage and power voltage is also very important. This first parameter is about 600-1000V. The importance of operating temperature cannot be overlooked.

It has been known for a long time that photovoltaic panels work in very different weather conditions, which is why it is worth equipping yourself with copies with the largest possible range of values. Thanks to this, the installation will work properly in any situation. When we decide to install installations on roofs, then we must not forget about the load on the entire structure. Let’s remember that one panel weighs about 30 kg, so let’s pay attention to the load capacity of our roof, so that the whole thing is installed safely and works properly. Finally, it’s worth looking at the dimensions. In most cases, they are 30×45 cm, but in practice you can also find other copies, both larger and smaller.

Advantages and disadvantages of photovoltaics

Photovoltaics is very popular due to the fact that it has many advantages that are worth knowing about. First of all, we can distinguish the financial advantages of this solution. As you know, photovoltaic panels are a great way to produce completely free electricity from solar energy. We can sell any surplus at any time. We are completely independent of price increases for at least 25 years, because it is for such a long period that manufacturers provide a guarantee of free repair in the event of a breakdown. Photovoltaic is a great idea to increase the value of your property. As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that from 2019 it is possible to deduct a photovoltaic installation from tax.

More and more often you can receive funding for this investment, which is why we receive part of the cash. It is worth mentioning the many ecological advantages of photovoltaic panels. As you know, solar energy is renewable, so it will never run out. The situation is different in the case of fossil fuels, whose stocks are slowly running out. It is a clean source of energy, i.e. the photovoltaic installation does not emit any pollutants. In addition, sunlight is available virtually anywhere in the world, which is why anyone can benefit from such an installation.

It is worth mentioning that this type of technology is still developing and is resistant to weather conditions. The whole looks interesting, and the assembly is relatively quick and easy. No building permit is needed. It is also worth mentioning that photovoltaics do not require maintenance and are almost trouble-free. Unfortunately, it also has its drawbacks, because the initial cost is quite high, and the energy is only produced during the day. In addition, the amount of energy produced depends primarily on solar radiation.
